Join us for our Good Friday Service if you are in the Anchorage area tonight, April 14th at 6 PM at 4335 Laurel Street. We will be watching the film The Risen. Then come on over Sunday morning and celebrate Jesus’ resurrection from the dead with us at 10:30 AM on the 16th. If you need a ride to our Easter/Resurrection service please call 349-0255 Saturday evening to let us know. We serve a living Savior – He is risen just as He said!
Joy Christian Center celebrated its 15th Anniversary Sunday, September 11th. The service included a time of worship, a greeting from Pastor P of Strive for Glory Samoan church, a fantastic message by the Assemblies of God Alaska Ministry Network’s Superintendent Bill Welch, and special music by Dori Welch, Pastor Ruth, and JCC’s Kids and Teens. Click on the arrow to listen to the service. The recording does not have the worship set or Kids/Teens song.

JCCers enjoyed a wonderful service yesterday. Employing songs from a wide variety of musical styles Cissy Padgett shared a message of hope and encouragement with the congregation. Cissy’s ministry, Music with a Mission travels around the U.S. and around the world sharing the love of Christ through music. Most recently she ministered at Camp A.N., and she shared pictures of her ministry there during the service. Because of the nature of the service we did not record a sermon this week. If you would like to hear some of Cissy’s music you can go to her website and listen to some sample under the store tab. The bulletin is posted on the Publications page of this blog.
Joy Christian Center is pleased to announce that a Spanish Bible Study has been added to the line up of weekly study options at JCC. We are excited to see the resumption of our Spanish ministry after it was put on hold last summer due to unforeseen circumstances. Beginning tomorrow evening, June 7th, Sergio Infanzon will be leading a Spanish Bible study Sunday evenings at 5 PM. If you have any questions you may call Sergio at 720-0376 or email us at email@example.com
Heads up – you don’t want to miss Sunday’s service! Tomorrow, May 24th, JCC will be hosting special guests Volodymyr and Judi (Balwebber) Ruban. They will be sharing about their ministry and bringing the Sunday morning message. Come hear about what God is doing in their corner of the globe and be encouraged to pick up the ministry baton to influence the world where you live for the Kingdom of God.
This week you get a “two-fer” – 2 sermons instead of just the usual weekly Sunday AM sermon. First, Pastor Ruth brought down the house Friday at the Good Friday service inspiring us to trust God to break every chain that binds us. Sunday morning the JCC Teens presented an Easter drama entitled “Three Witnesses”. This time around we tried something new; we included the worship as well as the message on the recordings, so they’re a little bit longer than usual. We hope you enjoy these recordings of our Resurrection weekend services.
Good Friday and Easter are so close you can almost smell Easter dinner in the oven and taste the jelly beans and marshmallow bunnies. It’s time again to stop and take time to celebrate the foundations of our faith. JCC invites you to join us for our Good Friday service Friday, April 3rd at 6 PM. Come share a time of reflection and communion as we think about Jesus’ death on the cross. Then celebrate the resurrection with us Sunday, April 5th at 10:30 AM. The JCC Teens will be presenting an Easter drama during the service as well as hosting a cheesecake silent auction. The proceeds from the auction will go to Speed-the-Light to purchase equipment for missionaries. Contact information and directions are posted on the contact page of this blog. We hope to see you Easter weekend.
