Just a quick reminder that following the service this coming Sunday, March 30th, JCC will be holding the 1st annual business meeting. We want each person to come and be a part of this important facet of church life. It’s important that each of us take ownership of the church leading to a personal, active interest in her affairs. This interest includes praying for the church family and leadership as well as attending and participating in formal meetings such as the upcoming business meeting. We will have lunch together right after the service and go directly into the business meeting. Those who are not members of JCC are welcome to attend, but will not be able to vote on issues. Thank you for being a part of JCC! We appreciate you.
A new date is planned for the JCC business meeting. The meeting, cancelled due to illness and weather, has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 30th at 1 PM following the morning service. We will provide lunch so that everyone can stay and attend the meeting. This is an important part of church life, so please plan on attending and participating. Thank you! If you have any questions you can call 349-0225 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that the business meeting that was scheduled for this afternoon at 5 PM has been cancelled and will be rescheduled. Stay tuned for more information. Thanks!
It would be nice to be able to know what’s going to happen in the next season, wouldn’t it? It would be even nicer if there was something we could do to shape the future for a desired outcome. For the most part this isn’t usually possible. There are a few things one can do to help nudge life in a direction that we want, but on the whole it doesn’t work as successfully as we would always hope. There is one thing, though, that you can do to influence JCC’s future – you can attend the JCC business meeting coming up this Sunday, March 16th at 5:00 PM. As a member of JCC you can have a say in the future of the church by casting your vote. You will hear the vision for the church and the desired outcome for the JCC family. You will be able to express your opinions and vote on various issues pertinent to this vision for the future and thus help shape that future. If you are a member of Joy Christian Center please take this opportunity to be present and take part in the business aspect of the church family. We need your participation. Thank you!
If the term “business meeting” makes you want to run and hide please consider this: while a business meeting can sometimes be boring – or at other times fraught with too much excitement in the form of highly emotionally charged ummmm… discussions – it is nonetheless a vital part of church life in most denominations including the Assemblies of God. It is here that one can get a better picture of the flow of the church over the course of a year as well as gain enlightenment on the direction that the church body is heading in the future. It is an opportunity to have a voice in church governance and, working with the other church members, to influence the direction of the church body with which you fellowship and that you call your own. So if you are a member of Joy Christian Center, do yourself and your church family a favor and plan on attending the JCC business meeting Sunday, February 23rd at 5:00 PM. Thank you!
Note: If you are not a JCC member but attend JCC you are welcome to attend the meeting as well, though you will not be able to vote on the issues presented.
