Summer’s coming! In Alaska that is a BIG deal after enduring cold, ice and snow, and dark for so long. Alaskans love to get out and play during the summer – who wants to sit in a room while the sun is shining and the proverbial “call of the wild” is singing its siren call, right? So we’re scaling back our events for the all too short summer season to allow everyone to get out and enjoy the summer while it’s here. June will be the last month for the Ladies’ Night Out and Coffeehouse until October, and the Men’s Ministry and Create & Connect will take a break until September. We will be having some impromptu get-togethers throughout the summer, as well as doing some painting projects, so keep watching the blog, Facebook, and our webpage for announcements. Keep an eye on the Bikers page and Facebook page for announcements about the Ride for Life in June and other rides TBA. Kids and Teens Ministries, Parent’s Night Out, and the mid-week Bible study will continue throughout the summer. JCC will also be holding a Sports Camp in June and Day Camp in July; watch for more details to come on those events.
