What do a treasure hunter and a grave digger have in common? They all know how to dig deep. The treasure hunter digs deeper than the surface layer because he or she knows that the treasure that they seek lies buried deep in the ground. The grave digger digs deep because his job is to bury things that are dead and need to be buried. Digging a shallow grave will not accomplish what needs to be done; the grave digger must needs dig deeper. As it is in the natural so it is in the spiritual. If you want to access the treasures of God you must dig deeper. If you want to bury your sins and the sins of others against you you must dig deeper – deeper than the hounds of hell can reach.
