January is a little more than half over already, and time to donate to this year’s JCC Sock-it-to-Me sock drive, which ends the end of January, is running out. You might doubt whether it’s worth it to bother donating at this late date or since this winter has be unusually mild, however let us assure you it is definitely worth it. The temperatures during the day may not be as cold as some winters, but when you’re living on the streets walking around in damp socks with holes in them it is still too cold. It’s never too late to be a part of helping a fellow human being, so if God is nudging you to get involved don’t ignore the nudge; donate now and be God’s hand extended to bless another person. This year we are also collecting new or gently used warm winter coats and blankets in addition to new, warm pairs of socks. If you would like to donate you may drop off your gifts at 4335 Laurel Street during service times: Sunday 8 AM to 3 PM or Wednesday 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. If none of those times work for your schedule you may email email@example.com or call 907-349-0255 to set up a time that works for you. If you would prefer to donate funds instead of socks you can contact us via email or phone to find out how. Thank you!
