A Trip Down Memory Lane

Thanks to all of the ladies who joined us for the Women of Joy Ladies’ Night Out. Big shout out to Bonnie Hughes who prepared dinner for the ladies and led us in a hilarious game of guessing who is who in each of the baby pictures brought by the ladies. Some were a little easier to guess than others, and some were super hard and NOBODY guessed right. Everyone had fun and learned something new about their friends.

You might think attending meetings like this is a waste of time, something not worth adding to an already overcrowded schedule, but I would beg to differ. I’m an introvert and have never been fond of ladies’ meetings – or any gathering with lots of people for that matter. But this group is different. The ladies’ are all so genuine, real people (not to mention really nice people!) who all deal with real life stuff and are overcoming daily. I not only don’t mind going and hanging out with the ladies, I actually enjoy it and benefit greatly from their company. I encourage you to come out and try it out next month. If it’s not for you, you haven’t lost anything, and you may find that you’ve gained a wonderful group of ladies who love you and pray for you.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Jesus is coming back soon. Trials and troubles are coming down the pike, and it will be extremely important to be in relationship with a group of fellow Jesus followers. We weren’t made to live life alone. Get into relationship with others and build your safety network now so that when the winds of adversity start blowing things around you’ll be able to stand.
