Here is Sunday’s bulletin in case you missed it.
JCC’s missions service continued Sunday Morning with music and a great message in Spanish brought by Pastors Rei and Mayra Morales. Wilfredo and Rei sang some uplifting songs and taught the congregation a song in Spanish. Then Pastor Ruth shared a moving song to close out the service. Here are some pictorial highlights. The sermon and more photos will be posted in the next blog post.
If you didn’t make the Saturday evening missions service, you missed a wonderful evening. Pastor Rei and Mayra led worship, and Pastor Marlan brought the message of the evening. Mayra shared a testimony about doing missionary work in Mexico, and then the attendees were treated to some amazing special music. Today is the last service, so come join us at 10:30 AM this morning.
Being a missionary is for everyone, not just a select few. But how does one go about being a missionary? Pastor Marlan brought a message last night that addresses this question. Click on the arrow to listen. (Thanks for listening and being patient while we work out the recording and posting thing!)
One of the last things Jesus said was that His disciples were to go into all the world and preach the Gospel and make disciples. From the beginning of the Assemblies of God fellowship this call has been a foundational pillar of A/G beliefs and ministry efforts. There are as many “flavors” of missions as there are people. Because each individual is unique their “flavor” and contribution to the work of missions is quite unlike anyone else’s. This weekend the JCC English speaking congregation and the Centro De Gozo Cristiano congregation join together for a celebration of missions. These special missions emphasis services will be:
Saturday, September 28th at 6 PM
Sunday, September 29th at 10:30 AM
You are invited and encouraged to attend both services. Pastor Marlan will speak at the Saturday PM service, and Pastors Rei and Mayra Morales will speak at the Sunday AM service. In addition Rei will share about the missions work in Mexico that he has been actively involved in the past couple of years. It’s going to be an exciting weekend; be sure to join us.
If you are a teen or have teens that are looking for a great Bible based, hands on learning experience, join the JCC teens tonight at 7 PM for an interesting study on the Tabernacle and how it relates to us today.
For our Spanish speaking friends we have a Bible study tomorrow night at 7 PM at JCC. If you would like more information you can click on the contact page and get ahold of us.
